Day out in Darling harbour

Spending the day at Darling harbour with Rob & Benjamin. Caught the ferry down Parramatta river & also the light rail around to Paddy's market for lunch. Not a very nice day to be strolling around, keeps raining just enough to make it uncomfortable

Primary schools Ballroom dance competition

My friend Maree's grandson was dancing in the local primary schools ballroom competition today

18 schools were represented

 

 

Kids did the Waltz, Cha Cha, Barn dance, Gypsy Tap just to name a few

 

 

The kids in blue, came to win, they were so good, must have spent hours practising & had a very good teacher

Fires at Hawkesbury Heights lookout

Sharon took us for a drive around the mountains to see the devastation caused by the fires last month 

My old street Birdwood Ave, most of the houses there were lucky as the fires went up the gullies on both sides of the street & burnt out some backyards, only one house was burnt

Very sad in other parts of Winmalee & Yellow Rock
The Firemen did a fantastic job as they saved many houses from the dreadful fate of so many other houses in the area

Kelly, Bob, Benjamin, & myself took Rob for lunch at the Armoury restaurant down by Parramatta river @ Olympic park.
