Leeton

Leeton was designed by Walter Burley Griffin (he also designed Canberra & Griffith)

Roxy Theatre built in 1930
First movie shown was "The Black Watch"
This lovely old building is still being used as a cultural, social & entertainment venue
for the people of Leeton


War Memorial
To recognise & commemorate the sacrifice of 66 local men who lost their lives in
WW1


Water towers
The first tower was built in 1912 & second in 1937


Government offices built 1938
 


Mosaic of local agricultural farming
 
 


Historic Hydro Motor Inn was built as accommodation for commission officers & visitors
& officially opened August 1919
