Xmas in July @ Southside Leagues club

One of the first things we did on arriving in Griffith was to check out all the clubs to see if there was any dancing, shows etc

 

We were in luck & booked for the Xmas in July luncheon $25 each

Set amongst a fertile backdrop of vineyards, orchards & golden fields, Griffith is a rich blend of cultures & traditions & a vibrant cosmopolitan lifestyle. The city's unmistakable Italian heritage lives on in its passion for food & wine

 

We have been blessed with glorious weather so far,  makes a change from chilly Victoria

& is about 2 km long

Darlington Point

Alan & Chris the folk we are h/sitting for left on Sunday to make their way to Melbourne & their flight to UK

 

Decided to go for a drive & explore the surrounding area

Darlington Point is on the Murrumbidgee river about 50km south of Griffith

One could say the locals fancy a drop of the amber fluid
