Bonegilla Migrant Camp 1947 - 1971

Left Albury this morning & taking the scenic route around Lake Hume
  via Tallangatta, Corryong, Walwa
 
 
Called in the Bonegilla migrant camp
320,000 people passed through here from all parts of Europe after WW11
 & this is their story

Weekly menu, food must have been so foreign to all the Italians, Germans, Dutch etc
Good old boiled beef & veges

It was an army training camp during the war & then turned into the largest migrant camp in OZ
