Cope Hut

It was lovely sunshine when we left this morning, by the time we reached the High Country, it was scarf, beanie & heavy coat time.

Wind is very cold

Cope Hut was built in 1939 by the government, as a mountaineering, skiers & hikers shelter

Built of galvanised iron & has withstood many a cold winters & storms

Inside 8 bunks, with a loft + table & cosy fire

Nice cosy retreat when the weather changes

Travelling on the Bogong High Plains road from Mt Beauty, Falls Creek to Omeo
