Outback Show

After our paddleboat ride @ 9am, headed back into town to the information centre for the Outback show

Luke put on a great show with his horses, camel,  Clydesdale horses, working dogs & bullocks

 (camels played a very big part in Outback carrying supplies to the inland stations, with their Afghan cameleers)

Luke also told a few good yarns about the characters of the area in early 1900's

Must have taken hours to yoke up a full team of bullocks
16 or more to a team
 

 

After the show finished it was into the Back O Bourke interpretive centre for a lesson on all things Bourke !!!!
& the people that made this town what it is today !!!
