After stopping for lunch in Walgett & still raining, we headed off for free camp at Burren Junction
Only problem 1/2 way there Bob decides he desperately needs a pee & pulls off onto to the side of the road (mud) & down went the van
Rang NRMA who are in Narrabri 113kms away, sorry can't help you we don't have a 4 X 4 ute or truck. Try the local tow truck driver............this will cost you heaps mate !!!
As luck would have a guy pulled up in ute & had a rope in the back & he managed to get us out
Bob gave him $50 for case beer, much cheaper than getting tow truck guy
When we got to the campsite, all the vans & motorhomes were floating & stuck in the mud.
They weren't going anywhere for next few days. Luckily there is a hot artesian pool there, so could wile away the hours waiting for ground to harden
We continued onto Wee Waa & spent the night at showground (just a bit dryer not by much)
